ANNOUNCEMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Hill Laboratories (Dallas, TX) is pleased to announce the development of the world's first full-blooded Elizabethan. While heterozygous congenital Bethans have been developed before (see Olsen Inc, Tarbutton Ltd, and Electric Baby Enterprises), Hill Labs believes that their as-yet-unnamed offering will provide a premium of wooliness, silliness, and madrigality.

The release date is scheduled for late September 2007. Hill Laboratories is not affiliated with the recent effort to develop a human-sheep hybrid, though lead physicist Scott Hill admits that the timing is fortuitous.

Yes, I'm serious. :) (Now we'll see who's actually reading my entries...)

That's our very first huzzah! (We've gotten similar sentiments, of course.) Thank you! :)

OH MY GOD! Congratulaions!

OH MY GOD!
Yup, that's been the typical response. :)

Congratulations!
Thank you. :)

Yay - congrats! We here at Electric Baby Enterprises (dba EBE) are happy to welcome you to the fold of craziness parenting.

That's a sheep-fold, of course. Barnyard metaphor. *Ahem*

Thank you. The adventures of the Electric Baby/Toddler have been inspiring; I'm looking forward to learning an entirely new language. :) The craziness probably started when we decided to go ahead with it....

Woooooooooo!

I still have some laryngitis, so I must respond with "woo". :)

Mazel tov. This might be your first mazel tov.

Of course, the timing is curious: for my tribe, now's the moment in our liturgical year at which sheep were caused to bleed atop doorposts so the angel of death would pass us by. There's all sorts of wrongness about that image juxtaposed onto the Hill Labs announcement, but hey.

Congratulations!!!

Huzzah!

Of course, the timing is curious: for my tribe, now's the moment in our liturgical year at which sheep were caused to bleed atop doorposts so the angel of death would pass us by.

And then there all the related nods and derivations to this tradition (the lost sheep parable, etc.); I've gotten to play some nice agnus dei settings this season.

I've gotten to play some nice agnus dei settings this season.

If the agnus is stll the Hill Labs lamb, then I'm not sure which bothers me more: the suggestion that this lamb is agnus dei or that it's fated to suck up the sins of the world (qui tolis peccata mundi). Maybe I should just stick with matzah.

Ours is just an Agnus collium, lamb of the hills, and we're not expecting any messiah-like qualities....
