The next three weeks

It's a crazy few weeks coming up on me. First, it's the end of the semester, so I have a lab final exam to give on Thursday (finished mostly), a series of presentations to listen to and grade, also on Thursday, a final exam next Friday (not even started), plus the usual teaching of classes (two more to go!) Not to mention grading both of those exams.

Second, I've been invited to Ohio Northern University for an interview for a one-year visiting position, which is very good news. The busy part is that they want me to come by next Friday, and they want me to give a research talk-- I didn't have to give a talk in Hollins so it's been a while. I had originally thought to talk about more current research, but I think I'm going with the bus talk because it's prepared more or less. So next week it's teach on Tuesday, leave that night for Ada, OH, interview all day Wednesday, come back Thursday, and give a final exam on Friday. Somewhere in there my mother-in-law is coming to visit, Sunday is Jen's first Mother's Day, and I'm leaving Sunday afternoon to go to a conference in Urbana-Champaign (where I'm hopefully giving an entirely different talk which is not in any way prepared...oh, and did I mention I'm not registered for that conference yet, because I have to write an abstract for said talk?)

This might all be manageable, so let's add in my dear little Miriam, who seems to drain all ability to do work out of me when I'm watching her.
