OK, Red Sox fans, you've had your fun. Two World Series in four years means you are no longer underdogs, and not allowed to complain about the state of your team for a few years at least. And if you make it to the WS again next year, I'm rooting for the National League team (unless it's the Braves...ptooie).
Update: BOY that was bitter. Don't know where that came from. :) Baseball has that effect on me early in the morning. I remember the year the Diamondbacks (with Schilling, who originally pitched for the Phillies btw) beat the Yankees in 7 games in the World Series; when I went to bed, Arizona was losing and I was sure it was over. Jen woke me up to tell me that Arizona had actually won, and the news made me oddly giddy all day. I don't even watch baseball anymore, but it still has a hold on me.
Anyway, speaking as a Philadelphia fan, Boston fans really have nothing to complain about.
